EMT and Paramedic Classes Enrolling Now!
We are currently enrolling for our spring EMT and Paramedic courses now.
Our spring quarter Paramedic course begins Feb 27th and we only have a few slots left. This comprehensive course last 13 months and includes classroom, online resources, and clinical experiences. Paramedic courses are held from 9am-4pm, every third day, at our Villa Rica Campus location. Financial assistance is available to all students and FGTC tuition cost are often 25-75% lower than most other schools in the state.
The next Advanced EMT (AEMT) Course starts March 7th. This course includes the EMT and AEMT portions into one course for one low price. This allows a student with no EMS experience to attend and complete the necessary certifications to become employed by fire departments, hospitals and ambulances services throughout Georgia. EMT courses are typically held 6pm-10pm, every third day, at our Villa Rica Campus location. Financial assistance is available to all students and FGTC tuition cost are often 25-75% lower than most other schools in the state.
EMT I-85 Intermediate to AEMT Bridge Class
We are proud to announce that the first I-85 to AEMT Bridge Course approved in the State of Georgia is being taught at FGTC. This 48 hour course allows EMT I-85 Intermediates to test for the new NREMT Level AEMT. This is part of the new system NREMT implemented at the first of the year and is an effort to standardize the levels in EMS nationwide. The update course is going well and should be complete by the end of the month.
We are offering this course in two formats to accommodate varying schedules with our students. The daytime Bridge Course is held from 9am-5pm, every third day, at our Villa Rica Campus location for a total 6 class days (roughly 3 weeks). The evening course is held 6pm-10pm, every third day, at our Villa Rica Campus location for a total of 12 class days (roughly 6-7 weeks).
The next EMT I-85 Intermediate to AEMT Bridge Class starts March 17th.
$10 CPR Fridays
As a part of our effort to educate the community on the importance of CPR and rapid intervention, FGTC is proud to announce the start of $10 CPR Fridays. For $10 you can attend a CPR course and receive a completion certificate. This course is offered every Friday at our training center located in Villa Rica Georgia.
We are offering 2 separate courses in order to reach both the general public and healthcare providers. For the general public we are offering one class that covers the American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR, First Aid and AED. This course is accepted by all employers and schools as proof of continuing education and CPR certification. For healthcare workers we offer the BLS Healthcare Provider course, the standard in the healthcare industry.
Class size is limited so pre-registration is required in order to secure your place in class. Please call 770-214-2252 for more information and class registration.
Individual Continuing Education Program
Have you ever worried about your continuing education (CE) hours? Not sure you’re ready to meet the recertifying requirements for NREMT? Do you manage your own CE hours? Not sure where to begin?
FGTC has created the greatest continuing education tool available to providers in our industry. After surveying various students and EMS providers, we found numerous problems associated with traditional CE courses.
These problems include many of the following drawbacks; CE courses are often very expensive (typically $225 person 16 hour course), you have to adjust your schedule to attend particular courses (especially if they only offered once a year), many online courses simply don’t convey the experiences that builds knowledge, and when you need a specific course you never can find one available. Our new Individual Continuing Education (ICE) Program was created to combat all of the traditional problems associated with CE courses.
The ICE program allows you to choose the classes you want to attend, and on the dates that are convenient for your schedule. You can attend every one of our ICE courses or only those necessary for your recertification. Courses vary in subject matter, are scheduled on varying shift days, and each course topic is offered a minimum of 2-4 times over two years. Courses are designed to meet NREMT certification requirements for both AEMT and Paramedic certification levels.
In addition to the awesome educational opportunity, the ICE program allows you to spread the expense over two years and typically the program cost less than attending an ACLS and PALS course at many schools. All ICE courses are taught in-house at our Villa Rica campus. Please call 770-214-2252 for more details and enrollment options.
