CPR FOR ADULTS,
CHILDREN AND INFANTS
American Heart Association (AHA) CPR, rescue breathing, choking and use personal
protective devices. Hands-on training with realistic mannequins, interactive
videos, and experienced and knowledgeable instructors ensures an exciting and
involved learning environment. American Heart Association certification card
provided.
AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBILLATOR (AED) CLASS
An add-on module that complements the CPR and/or First Aid class. Our AHA first
aid and CPR, and AED programs are designed to give you the confidence to respond
in an emergency situation with skills that can save a life. The AED Module
explains the need, the use and theory behind AED’s. Class includes hands-on
practice with a Zoll AED unit.
AMERICAN HEART ASSOICATION - FIRST AID CLASS
This hands-on course provides the rescuer with a basic knowledge of AHA First
Aid procedures. The class covers burns, bleeding control, splinting, seizures,
poisoning, shock, heat emergencies, eye and facial injuries, and infection
control. AHA certification card provided.
GEORGIA FIRE MARHSALLS OFFICE - FIRE SAFETY CERTIFICATION
This class is required for all Georgia Daycare Professionals within 90 days
of hire. This course teaches fire safety, awareness, and prevention. State
certificate provided, class available in the 5 hour format for initial certification
or the 2 hour refresher course.
CHILD INJURY PREVENTION and INFECTIOUS DISEASE
This course helps to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards within
the daycare environment. Safety strategies and emergency action plans are included
within the class format. ASHI certificate of completion is provided and this
class is good for 2 DHR hours of CEU in Georgia.
CHILD AND BABYSITTING SAFETY INSTRUCTIONAL CLASS
The Child and Babysitting Safety Instructional Course is a community education
program that covers child safety and basic care techniques for infants and
children. The class provides fundamental information for home childcare workers
or babysitters. CABS topics include child safety, and how to handle childhood
injuries and emergencies. Great class for teenagers and young adults.
BLOOD-BORNE PATHOGENS
Federal OSHA requires that blood-borne pathogens training be provided annually
to employees with potential occupational exposure. Participants learn to protect
themselves and others from exposure through proper workplace safety and techniques.
Textbook and ASHI certification card provided.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL FIRST RESPONDER PROGRAM
A certified first responder is a person who has completed forty to sixty hours
of training in providing care for medical emergencies. The first of four levels
of the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification. First responders attend
a minimum of 40-60 hours in a state approved course of study.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN- BASIC (EMT-B)
An emergency medical technician - basic (EMT-B) is an emergency responder trained
to provide emergency medical services to the critically ill and injured after
attending our 120 hour state approved course of study.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN- INTERMEDIATE (EMT-I)
EMT-I are trained in basic medical knowledge and skills. Patient treatment
guidelines are described in protocols following both national guidelines and
local medical policies. The goal of EMT intervention is to rapidly evaluate
a patient's condition and to maintain a patient's airway, breathing and circulation
by CPR and defibrillation. In addition, EMT intervention aims to control external
bleeding, prevent shock, and prevent further injury or disability by immobilizing
potential spinal or other bone fractures, while expediting the safe and timely
transport of the patient to a hospital emergency department for definitive
medical care. EMT-I students attend our 212 hour state approved course of study.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN- PARAMEDIC (EMT-P)
EMT-P are trained in advanced medical knowledge and skills. These skills include
advanced airway management, the administration of medication and emergency
drugs, interventions with cardiac emergencies that include manual defibrillation,
cardioversion and pacing, and advanced IV-IO skills. While all EMT's work under
the umbrella of an emergency physician, Paramedics are in charge of the patients
prehosptial care and the safe and timely transport of the patient to a hospital
emergency department for more definitive medical care. EMT-P students attend
our 900 hour state approved course of study.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS AWARENESS
This 8 hour course will provide the student with a basic review of skills needed
to identify hazardous materials problems, recognize the presence of hazardous
materials, and identify hazardous materials and their associated dangers. This
course will meet the requirements for annual review under 29 CFR 1910.120.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS OPERATIONS LEVEL
This 40 hour course will provide the student the basic skills needed to evaluate
and work defensively at an incident involving the release of a hazardous material
for the purpose of protecting persons, property and the environment from the
effects of the release.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN
Laws regulating training requirements for the Hazardous Materials Technician
as set forth by Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), Department of Labor
(DOL), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the National Fire Protection
Association (NFPA). Identifies a hazardous material incident, determines the
magnitude of the problem, identifies and interprets hazard response information
through the use of monitoring equipment. This is a 40 hour course.
INDUSTRIAL FIRE BRIGADE COURSE
This course is for all industrial personnel working in management, fire protection,
security, or production. The school, conducted in 8 hours, consists of classroom
instruction, demonstrations, and practical field exercises. Subjects to be
covered in the classroom and demonstrations are: fire behavior, fire apparatus,
interior structural fire fighting, safety, and fire fighter's personal protective
equipment.
The field evolutions include: hose handling, portable extinguishers, pressure
pit, LPG complex, and round tank.
