Faithful Guardian is
locally owned and operated by Thomas Woodruff, Ricky Roberson & Jay
Gazaway. They collectively have over 60 years experience specifically
with healthcare, fire safety,
emergency medicine and the LTC industry. Their previous positions
have allowed them to build personal relationships with healthcare
professionals, LTC providers, patients and their family members.
Thomas
Woodruff has worked for both private and public emergency service
agencies providing healthcare interventions with clients in extended
care situations. He has held management positions for over ten
years and possesses a B. S. in Health Studies. His professional
background includes emergency services, operations, service delivery,
education and training, quality assurance, personnel, human resources,
and product procurement. His extended background with long term
care and geriatric emergencies provides Thomas with the experience
and insight needed to branch into this new field of patient advocacy.
He is the recipient of three Phoenix Awards, and possesses over
sixty credentials from over thirty local, state and federal agencies.
Thomas was appointed to the Business Advisory Council in Washington
D.C. in 2005, awarded the Congressional Medal of Distinction
in 2006, and selected as the Honorary Chairman of the House Majority
Trust by the NRCC in 2007.
Richard
Roberson has worked in the field of Emergency Medicine for
17 years; he currently maintains the certification level of
Emergency Advanced Life Support Technician. He also holds the
level of NPQ II Firefighter and has for over a decade. Ricky
is a 1988 graduate of Villa Rica High School and still resides
in Carroll County. He is married to Valerie his wife of 16
years and has two children Spencer and Jessica. Richard's time
as a Volunteer Assistant Fire Chief will benefit him in his
field operation supervisor duties for Faithful Guardian.
Jay
Gazaway has been in the emergency services field since 1988 when
he became a professional firefighter/EMT. He has been a supervisor
in his field for 11 years. He lives in Whitesburg , Ga. with
his wife Lisa, and sons Cole, 10, and Seth, 7. He is dedicated
to making a difference in our aging community through Faithful
Guardian. With several family members currently in long term
care facilities in North Carolina, Jay realizes the immediate
need for an LTC patient advocacy service.
